Centene Corporation (NYSE:CNC) announced today that its wholly-owned subsidiary, Health Net Federal Services, LLC, (HNFS), has earned the Disease Management Accreditation from URAC. URAC is an independent organization that promotes healthcare quality through accreditation, certification and measurement.

HNFS has continuously held URAC’s Disease Management Accreditation since 2011. Its most recent accreditation is effective October 1, 2017 to October 1, 2020.

HNFS’ Disease Management Education Program serves TRICARE North Prime beneficiaries, identified by the Defense Health Agency, for enrollment in healthcare management programs targeting six conditions: anxiety, asthma, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), congestive heart failure, depression, and diabetes.

“Once again, Health Net Federal Services is honored to receive URAC’s Disease Management Accreditation. URAC’s accreditation validates the work being done through HNFS’ Disease Management Education Program in treating these six conditions affecting our military communities,” said Billy Maynard, president and CEO, HNFS. “Maintaining URAC’s Disease Management Accreditation ensures our TRICARE Prime North Region beneficiaries stay mission-ready and are being provided the care and quality of life equal to their sacrifice and service.”

“With Disease Management Accreditation from URAC, Health Net Federal Services is recognized to have the expertise to work effectively with providers in improving population health and managing chronic disease care,” said URAC President and CEO Kylanne Green. “Health Net Federal Services has made a commitment to URAC’s broad and rigorous standards and measures that prove its commitment to quality care.”
