One-Stop Test to Treat for COVID-19 Now Available

Friday, April 1, 2022

Through the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services’ COVID-19 Test to Treat Initiative, participating “One-Stop Test to Treat” locations offer COVID-19 testing and immediate treatment to those who test positive and are eligible for oral antiviral treatment. These services are available at no cost.

While you can continue to be tested and treated by your health care provider who can prescribe oral antivirals if appropriate, the Test to Treat Initiative allows eligible patients to get tested and start treatment in one visit.

How it works:

Step 1: Locate a Test to Treat site. Visit https://covid-19-test-to-treat-locator-dhhs.hub.arcgis.com/ to locate a participating pharmacy-based clinic, federally qualified health center or long-term care facility near you.

Step 2: Get tested. You can get tested at the Test to Treat site or bring test results from an at-home test, pharmacy, clinic, or other provider to show to the health care provider at the site.

Step 3. If you qualify, get treatment. If you test positive and are at high risk of getting very sick, the on-site health care provider will prescribe molnupiravir or PAXLOVID™ for treatment. You can then fill that prescription at the site.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention highly encourages you to test for COVID-19 early after known exposure or as soon as symptoms are present. This is because oral antiviral treatments work best during the early stages of COVID-19 infection.
