Reminder: Autism Care Demonstration Annual Provider Training Due April 14

As of Jan. 1, 2022, all autism corporate services providers (ACSP) and sole applied behavior analysis (ABA) providers participating in the Autism Care Demonstration (ACD) must complete annual ACD training per TRICARE Operations Manual, Chapter 18, Section 4. Health Net Federal Services, LLC (HNFS) assigns this training each year in early January, and, once assigned, providers have 90 days to complete the training.

Important: The 2023 training due date is April 14. Providers who miss this due date will be subject to a 10% penalty applied to all claims billed under your Tax Identification Number (including all practice locations) starting the first day after the due date (day 91). This penalty will be remedied once you complete the training; however, the penalty will remain in place for the days you were out of compliance.

What is the ACD Annual Provider Training? 

The ACD Annual Provider Training covers eligibility, diagnosis, pre-authorizations, provider eligibility, and medical documentation requirements, as well as claims, billing, and audits. To fulfill TRICARE and provider agreement requirements, ACSPs and sole ABA providers must take this training. HNFS also encourages sharing the training module with all of your ABA providers and staff.

How do I access the ACD Annual Provider Training? 

Since the first quarter of 2023, HNFS has been sending ACSPs/sole ABA providers assigned to take the training an automated email containing a unique username and password for accessing the ACD Annual Provider Training online. Providers only receive credit once they complete the entire training.

What if my email address changed since last year? 

If you need to update your email address, you can contact HNFS with the information one of two ways:

  1. Email ACDNetwork@hnfs.com with your updated email address.
  2. Contact HNFS ACD customer service at 1-844-866-WEST (following the prompts and selecting option 5) to update the email address we have on file for you.

Can I delegate the training to another provider in my group?

Yes. If there is another provider in your group you would like to take the training, you can contact HNFS with the provider’s information one of two ways:

  1. Email ACDNetwork@hnfs.com.
  2. Call the HNFS ACD customer service at 1-844-866-WEST (following the prompts and selection option 5).

Important Information about Passwords 

  • Previous users. If you've taken the ACD Annual Provider Training before and already have a password, please use that password instead of the password included in the automated training notification email you received. 
  • New users. If this is your first time accessing the ACD Annual Provider Training, use the default password in the automated training notification email you received.
  • All users. If you need to request a new password to access the training, please email ACDnetwork@hnfs.com or call our ACD customer service line at 1-844-866-WEST (following the prompts and selecting option 5).
